Dr. Daniel Elkin, MD is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon specializing in the treatment of shoulder and knee conditions. His focus is on a personalized and evidence-based approach to treating each patient’s condition. Each patient’s injury and history is unique, which is why Dr. Elkin takes pride in listening to his patients so he can tailor the best treatment for their needs. He believes in providing his patients with all of the surgical and non-operative options so they can make the best-informed decisions about their treatment. He has spent years honing his craft and aims at providing the best outcomes possible.
Dr. Elkin completed his fellowship at Medstar-Union Memorial Hospital where he worked with recreational, collegiate, and professional athletes while covering the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Wizards, Towson Tigers, and Morgan State Bears. He currently serves as team physician for the Willamette University Bearcats.
In his free time, Dr. Elkin enjoys spending time with his wife and children. You can also find him backcountry skiing on the Cascade volcanoes and mountain biking.
